Kriptomed presents an updated line of in-house manufactured soundproof booths. The two models, A1 and A3, are the only diagnostic booths on the Russian market certified as medical devices. This allows them to be recommended for use in clinics and practices of various specialties. Available in stationary and mobile versions, they can be installed even in small spaces and used for off-site diagnostic sessions.

For decades, soundproof booths have been used for various tests in industrial facilities, corporate offices, and scientific research, including medicine—wherever maximum isolation from ambient noise is required. They are the ideal technical solution for pure-tone and speech audiometry, ENT diagnostics, research in acoustics and psychology labs, and for on-site hearing testing at companies and organizations.

Booth or Dedicated Room?

When a medical facility requires a highly soundproofed space, the question of the optimal solution arises. Converting a dedicated room with proper soundproofing is a complex and sometimes unfeasible technical challenge. Without meeting all requirements for sealing and installing special silent ventilation, external noise will compromise diagnostic accuracy. A soundproof booth is a more cost-effective, simpler, and efficient solution. Manufactured from specialized materials with low acoustic and electromagnetic conductivity, supplemented with insulating fillers, every detail is meticulously designed—from patient seating and cable management to silent ventilation and air conditioning. This design enhances operational efficiency and diagnostic accuracy.

Hearing Diagnostic Booths

A key requirement for reliable hearing test results is a controlled acoustic environment, achieved with specialized audiometric booths. While construction materials vary, most models use steel sheets, which offer inherent sound insulation, durability, and ease of use. Internal sound-absorbing panels create a perfectly isolated space. The booths are relatively lightweight (320-450 kg), ensuring easy transportation and minimal structural load on buildings, which is crucial for older structures.

The booth's door and window are specially designed to eliminate external noise infiltration, featuring a fixed window and a door with rubber seals. To prevent secondary noise, the booth is mounted on special rubber vibration isolators, ensuring complete isolation from impact noise. Height-adjustable isolators also allow for installation on uneven floors in any building.

Integrated silent ventilation and air conditioning systems ensure comfort for the occupant with the door closed. The front panel includes a shelf for audiometric equipment from any manufacturer, positioned at an optimal height for the specialist to work comfortably while maintaining a clear view of the patient's visual responses during testing.

Types of Booths

• Stationary: Delivered disassembled. Recommended for dedicated rooms in medical centers and clinics. Their larger size comfortably accommodates two people (e.g., a specialist and a patient, or a parent with a child).
• Mobile: Delivered fully assembled. Feature special wheels for easy movement within a premises. Ideal for off-site examinations, mass screening programs, educational institutions, and industrial sites.

Soundproofing Efficiency Classes

• Class 4: Least effective. No noise reduction at frequencies up to 200 Hz. Primary range 2000-4000 Hz (absorbs 20 dB); up to 15 dB at 1000 and 8000 Hz.
• Class 3: Reduces noise by 30 dB in the 2000-4000 Hz range; good protection at 1000 and 8000 Hz (up to 25 dB). Provides conditional low-frequency noise protection (5-20 dB).
• Class 2: Good mid-frequency sound protection (35-40 dB); reduces low-frequency noise impact (15-30 dB).
• Class 1: Highest efficiency. Maximally reduces noise across a broad frequency range of 1000-8000 Hz (45-50 dB). Reduces low-frequency noise levels by up to 40 dB.
